visual and performing arts, including acting, playing violin and singing have shaped lia sáile's life since childhood. after graduating from an art-specialized gymnasium in 2004, she left germany and commenced theatre, film and media studies in vienna. she also began to intensively explore photography. in the winter of 2005, sáile started working with polaroid, which is now the foundation of her visual work. she has exhibited at institutions such as the POLANOIR gallery, the national museum of fine arts malta and in various group shows.
